September 15, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): The relationship between channel and the production house is that of boss and employee. If the channel does not get the expected profit from the production, the channel slashes down the budget of the show. That's the way it goes. This is precisely what has happened with Sahara One's 'Bitto' and 'Shorr' that air every Monday to Thursday at 8:00 PM and 10:30 PM, respectively.
A little birdie from the sets informed TellyCafe.com, "Sahara One has warned the shows, 'Bitto' and 'Shorr' to improve their quality in context of performance. Taking into consideration the looks, the acting, the overall feel of the show, the channel had to cut down the budget of the shows by 20 to 30 percent."
"After warning the production houses repeatedly to bring improvement in the shows, the production didn't change and are not doing well since long. Therefore, the channel decided on to slash the per episode budget of the shows."
The buzz is also that the production of the show 'Bitto' has also changed almost four directors to suit the show but none of them worked out.
Well, hope that both the shows pay heed to this budget cut and pull up their socks, else the channel wont think twice before yanking them off air completely. It's a touch world out there, people.... Buck up!
