(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Charlie Sheen has been discharged from hospital and is going home to Los Angeles.
The troubled actor was taken to a medical centre after police were called to his suite at The Plaza Hotel in New York in the early hours of Tuesday morning. He was reportedly found drunk and naked, and it was claimed tables and chairs had been thrown around the room and there was some damage to a chandelier.
Charlie had reportedly been out partying on Monday evening and had returned to his room with an unidentified woman. When he allegedly discovered his wallet was missing, he lost his temper and flew into a rage. Website TMZ claimed the star was emotionally disturbed when he got to hospital. His representative has claimed Charlie simply had an adverse allergic reaction to some medication he was taking.
Charlie Sheen has been discharged from a hospital in N.Y. and is returning to L.A. today, the representative added. Everything else is speculation.
It is believed the spokesperson was referring to reports Charlie was planning to return to rehab. Earlier this year, the star pleaded guilty to domestic violence stemming from an incident last December when he was arrested following a fight with his third wife Brooke Mueller. He spent time at the Promises Treatment Center after making a deal connected to the case.
The 45-year-old star was in New York to spend time with his two daughters with ex-wife Denise Richards six-year-old Sam and Lola, five.
Denise who was staying in a separate room at the hotel has since spoken about the incident, saying her only thought was for her kids. She confirmed she helped her ex-husband at hospital.
They have no idea they don't know what happened. Thank God our girls are young enough, they're five and six and I do my best to protect them from certain things, she told television show LX New York.
Our daughters are at an age where they're very young and thank God they can't just turn on the internet and turn the news on and hear different things... This is stuff that obviously they're too young to understand that I don't want to have to explain right now. So, we protect them as much as we can.
I want to keep what happened last night private... If Charlie wants to discuss it, that's his choice, and out of respect for him, that's his decision. I don't want to get into it, it's a private matter. (C) Cover Media
