Chris Colfer: Princesses need Glee roles

27th June 2011

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Chris Colfer is desperate for Britain's Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie to appear in Glee.

The actor is flamboyant Kurt Hummel in the American television series, about a group of kids at high school who grow close as they all love singing.

Kurt loves anything to do with the British royal family, so Chris thinks it's only fitting some of them should grace the programme. He met Beatrice, 22, and her 21-year-old sister Princess Eugenie at recent music event Hard Rock Calling in London and was overwhelmed by them.

"The princesses love Glee," he is quoted as saying by British newspaper The Sun. "We've got the royal seal of approval. Maybe we can get them a cameo on the show. Wouldn't that be amazing?"

The trio spent a long time talking to each other, with Eugenie said to be just as excited about coming face to face with Chris as he was. She was keen to hear all the gossip about Glee and was overheard asking him about the show's future plans.

"Eugenie especially is a huge fan of Glee and everyone got on like a house on fire. It was a real party atmosphere," a source told the publication.

"Eugenie was pressing Chris for more information on the third series of Glee, which has been filmed but not aired over here yet."

Beatrice, Eugenie and Chris watched American rock band The Killers storm the stage together, and were joined by Chris' co-star Matthew Morrison. (C) Cover Media
