(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Christian Bale has admitted that he once went on a date with Drew Barrymore.

The notoriously private actor is now married to wife Sibi Blazic and they have seven-year-old daughter Emmeline together.

But the Dark Knight star revealed to GQ Australia that he went out with the Charlie's Angels actress.

"We went to see some bloody awful horror film, and that was the end of it," he told the publication. "She never called again."

Drew is now engaged to fianc Will Kopelman and they are expecting their first child later this year.

Christian also spoke about playing Batman and says it has been a privilege as well as a real rollercoaster ride.

"I have been deeply honoured to inhabit this character," he said of Gotham City's masked crusader. "It was a massive undertaking. Physically, emotionally, every way."
