Colin Farrell refuses to blame Hollywood for his wild partying.

The Irish actor was once renowned for his hell raising ways. In 2005, he voluntarily checked himself into a rehab centre to be treated for his addictions. Colin has since cleaned up his life and now insists he was on a destructive path before he was catapulted to worldwide fame.

"Hollywood had nothing to do with that. The problems I had, I had a long time before I went to the US," he told German newspaper Berliner Morgenpost.

During his party days, Colin was often spotted letting loose with Hollywood stars and was romantically linked to beauties including Britney Spears and Demi Moore.

The 36-year-old star is determined to be responsible for his actions. Colin believes accepting your weaknesses is the best way to move on and live a better life.

"I don't like blaming society or bad influences for things that went wrong in your life," he explained. "It is not only society that decides how you handle things. That should be your thing to decide!"
