(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Demi Lovato has checked into a treatment facility, forcing her to pull out of her tour with the Jonas Brothers.

The 18-year-old Disney star confirmed she would be playing with the American boyband as part of their World Tour 2010 earlier this year. The current leg of shows began in Illinois on August 7, and was set to end in Brazil on November 9.

However, Demis representative has confirmed she dropped out of the rest of the performances over the weekend. The young star has checked into a facility to get help for emotional and physical issues, although no further details have been given.

Demi Lovato left her tour early this weekend in order to seek medical treatment for emotional and physical issues she has dealt with for some time. Demi has decided to take personal responsibility for her actions and seek help. She is doing just that, the spokesperson said. Demi and her family ask that the media please respect their privacy during this difficult time. She regrets not being able to finish her tour, but is looking forward to getting back to work in the near future.

The teenager deleted her Twitter account over the weekend, although it is unknown if that is linked to her current problems.

Although the nature of Demis issues hasnt been confirmed, it is known she is not being treated for a drug problem.

Gossip website TMZ reports the star had an altercation with a woman working on the tour recently. It was a catalyst in her decision to seek professional help, the site reports.

It has also been claimed the star was tired due to her punishing work schedule, which she was finding increasingly hard to cope with. Sources told E! News Demi was overwhelmed by her work.

The star has previously spoken of being bullied at school, explaining it got so bad she asked her mother to teach her at home. (C) Cover Media
