(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Demi Lovato has faced further turmoil in her personal life, after her mother reportedly entered rehab and the star split from her boyfriend.

The 18-year-old actress-and-singer checked into a treatment facility at the beginning of November last year for three months to receive care for "emotional and physical issues". After leaving the facility, Demi revealed she had been diagnosed with bipolar and praised her mother Dianna Hart de la Garza for supporting her. It has now been alleged Dianna recently admitted herself into a programme at an unknown location.

"It has been a tough year for Demi, and her mom has been a constant source of support. But fame has also taken its toll on her family," a source told New York Post. "Now [that] Demi is strong again, her mom could take some time to deal with her own issues."

The publication reports that former cheerleader Dianna has now completed her treatment and is no longer in the facility.

Demi recently revealed her mother had surprised her by getting a matching tattoo. Demi has the words stay strong' on her wrist and Dianna decided to show her support for her daughter's personal struggles.

"My mom surprised me with it when I was in treatment," Demi wrote on her Twitter account. "And she wanted to show me how proud she was of me for getting help and changing my life I love her so much."

It has also been reported Demi is no longer dating 31-year-old actor Wilmer Valderrama. The pair haven't been seen in public together since February and the reason behind their split appears to be down to the age gap.

"The age difference meant they were in completely different places in their lives," a source told New York Post.

A representative for Demi has refused to comment on the reports, insisting, "We do not comment on her personal life." (C) Cover Media
