Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Anushka Sharma, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Hrithik Roshan, Katrina Kaif, Bipasha Basu, Gulzar, Anupam Kher, Sridevi were some of the prominent actors present.
According to sources, Rani Mukerji and Aditya Chopra came out in the open to show the world that they are together.
Rani stood next to Aditya accepting condolences from everyone, while his ex-wife stood in the second row along with Chopra family friends SRK, Karan and Hrithik.
Uday Chopra's good friend Nargis Fakhri too was seen around the family.
SRK, Big B, Anupam Kher and Karan Johar paid tribute to late Yashji. Karan moved all to tears by saying, "Yashji would call me up everyday, just to tell me that he loves me. I still scroll down my contacts to see his name stored. I hope to get a call from that number!"
SRK recalled Yashji's phone calls, "He would make abrupt calls and say, 'Main Yash bol raha hoon, tumko milna hai, aa jao'. He would hang up even before you could reply. His death was as abrupt as his phone call. Parathas (that he loved so much) would never be as tasty, women never as gorgeous in chiffon saris, post his death," he said.
Anupam Kher recalled Yashji's fondness for food and his bad singing skills. "He would sing any song like a bhajan, but would love singing. We ate together almost thrice a week. We had a common liking for food."
While Big B narrated a few lines from his father Harivansh Rai Bachchan's poetry — "Jo beet gayi so baat gayi... Jo chhoot gaye, phir kahan miley."
