Dhanush has signed his maiden venture in Bollywood. Titled "Raanjhnaa", the love story to be helmed by Aanand L Rai is expected to hit the floors soon. A top actress is said to be the heroine of the film.

Says Dhanush, 'It was my long time wish to be part of a Hindi movie. But I was waiting for a right script. When Aanand L Rai approached me with Raanjhana’s story, I was thoroughly impressed and agreed to be part of the project.'

According to the director, 'My story required an actor who can play the role of simple midde-class man perfectly. When I watched "Aadukalam", I decided that Dhanush is going to play the lead role. Such a talented actor he is.'

In the meantime, Dhanush and his wife Aishwarya are busy giving finishing touches to their forthcoming film "3". 'Post production works are currently on and the movie will see the light of the day for Valentines’ Day,' say sources.
