Dutt to surrender today

16th May 2013

It's been over two month since the Supreme Court announced that actor Sanjay Dutt has been convicted in the 1993 bomb blast case, and now the day has arrived when the actor has to surrender himself. He has time until 4 p.m. today.

A lot has happened this week, where Sanjay pleaded to the court to surrender at the Yerwada jail in Pune stating threat to his life in Mumbai. But soon after, he withdrew his plead without any reasons.

Sanjay will have to serve three and a half years in jail and during that time, it is heard that the actor will be employed as a cook. His daily wages will be Rs.25 to 50. The actor will also receive an additional allowance of Rs.1500 from his family.

He will be allowed to meet only a maximum of five people from his family in a month, and that too for 20 mins only.

Last night, a few Bollywood celebrities like Ranbir Kapoor, Salman Khan, Fardeen Khan, Ajay Devgn, etc., paid their last visit to the actor before he surrenders today.
