(Cover) - EN Star Style - Eva Mendes invests in clothes she can "run to the supermarket" in.

The 37-year-old US actress is normally seen looking elegant in designer gowns on the red carpet, although insists she is normally more preoccupied with hunting down practical attire.

Eva doesn't think sensible needs to mean boring though, and considers floral frocks to be perfect for running errands in.

"I dress rather casual, even if I rarely wear jeans. I like long dresses with flowers, the easy dresses in which I can easily run to the supermarket," she told France's Be magazine.

Eva was asked to dish some of her top beauty secrets by the publication, although she insists she doesn't have much to offer in the way of miracles. The star argues that looking good is simply down to keeping fit and eating sensibly.

"When they ask me for beauty advice, people rarely want to hear the real answer, because I have no miracle product!" she laughed.

"There is sport of course, I run and I do exercises with weights. But especially I eat very healthily. I eliminated meat a few years ago and I see the difference on my skin. I limit dairy products.

"I refuse to stop eating bread and chocolate. That it is downright impossible!" (C) Cover Media
