(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Mildred Patricia Baena's ex-husband has opened up about her alleged affair with Arnold Schwarzenegger who he says used to be his "hero".

Last week actor and former Governor of California Arnold admitted he had fathered a child with another woman while married to Maria Shriver, and a series of US publications identified the mother of the child as Mildred Patricia Baena, known as Patty, who worked as a housekeeper for the Schwarzenegger family up until recently.

Now the ex-husband of Mildred, Rogelio Baena, has spoken about the ordeal in an interview with Entertainment Tonight, explaining that he thought the child who is now believed to be 13 had been his biological son and learnt only a week ago that he wasn't.

"Arnold Schwarzenegger for me, [was] my hero," he explained. "Maria is destroyed."

Rogelio was married to Mildred for ten years, and despite describing the situation as a "betrayal", he was keen to express how much he loves his son. He kept his heartfelt message for the boy simple.

"I am your father. That's all," he smiled in the interview.

It has been reported that Rogelio and Mildred were married for ten years and split in 1997 only weeks after the boy was born, with Mildred filing for divorce in 2008.

Meanwhile, it has been reported by Entertainment Tonight that Maria is likely to file for divorce from Arnold by the end of this week.

The journalist is expected to keep things amicable though, particularly for the sake of her children with Arnold; Katherine, 21, Christina, 19, Patrick, 17, and Christopher, 13.

"As hurt as she may be, she will encourage them to forgive their father," a source told US Weekly. (C) Cover Media
