(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Kellan Lutz turned down the opportunity to lock lips with Britney Spears in her new music video, according to reports.

The songstress is currently shooting the promo for her new single I Wanna Go, from her seventh studio album Femme Fatale.

In the Chris Marrs Piliero-directed video, Britney will appear in a press conference before being hounded by paparazzi, who bizarrely turn out to be robots. According to Hollywood Life, the 29-year-old star approached Kellan to feature alongside her as the man who saves her from the media glare.

However, the Twilight hunk declined the offer of being her video hero and therefore missing out on the opportunity to kiss the blonde beauty.

Britney, who is dating Jason Trawick, first met Kellan when he attended her Beverly Hills fundraiser earlier this month for the St. Bernard Project's ongoing Hurricane Katrina relief efforts.

There is currently no confirmed male to star in the upcoming video, although there were rumours circulating that Matthew McConaughy was also originally approached about the part. (C) Cover Media
