Bigg Boss season 8 winner Gautam Gulati will share screen space with Emraan Hashmi in the film 'Azhar'.

Gautam will play a cricketer cum commentator in the film. When Gautam heard the script, he fell in love with it and just agreed to do the film. According to Gautam his character in the film is that of a flamboyant, sophisticated cricketer, who played an important part in Azharuddin's life.

Gautam recently tweeted on Emraan's birthday, "Happy Birthday @emraanhashmi! It has been the most amazing experience working with you on #Azhar! Have an amazing day!."

His role of Ravish is inspired by former cricketer Ravi Shastri.

The actor, who shot in London for over a month followed by a four-day shoot in Hyderabad, got a chance to play with real life Azhar when the cricketer had arrived on the sets to train Emraan.
