A teaser picture of 'Raanjhna' was recently released by lead actors Sonam Kapoor and Dhanush on their microblogging page. The poster showed Sonam romancing her on-screen love interest Dhanush, who debuts in Bollywood with this project.
The movie which revolves around the love story between these two young stars, was expected to hit the big screen on June 28th.
However, when UTV Motion Pictures announced the release date of their forthcoming film 'Ghanchakkar' starring Emraan Hashmi and Vidya Balan; the makers of 'Raanjhna' were left in a fix.
'Ghanchakkar' was announced to arrive on the same date as 'Raanjhna'. Considering Vidya and Emraan's 'The Dirty Picture' success, the team of 'Raanjhna' dropped the idea to go head-on with this UTV project at the box office. They have now decided to postpone the release in order to avoid the clash with 'Ghanchakkar'.
The announcement on the revised release date for 'Raanjhna' is expected to be made soon.
