(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Goldie Hawn has tweeted her joy over the arrival of her new grandson.

The 65-year-old star's daughter, Kate Hudson, welcomed her second child on Saturday night. The tot is her first with her fianc Matt Bellamy.

Goldie took to her personal Twitter page on Sunday to share her excitement over the new arrival, and thanked fans for their continued support.

"Thank you all for your good wishes for the birth of our grandson!" she gushed.

Goldie, who is in a long-term relationship with Kurt Russell, couldn't contain her joy at the family's new addition.

The American actress, who has a famously close relationship with her 32-year-old daughter, maintained both Kate and baby were doing well after the birth.

"We are over the moon! Kate and baby happy and healthy! Blessings abound x (sic)," she added.

Kate already has seven-year-old son Ryder with her ex-husband Chris Robinson. It's Matt's first child, with the couple getting engaged earlier this year.

At the moment no further details have been released about the new arrival, although Kate's spokesperson has confirmed the tot, who was born in Los Angeles, is a "healthy baby boy". (C) Cover Media
