(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Halle Berry admits that she "lost her cool" in a confrontation she had with photographers last week.
The actress shares four-year-old daughter Nahla with her ex-boyfriend Canadian model Gabriel Aubry.
The 45-year-old star is said to have been accosted by a pap who said "f**k off" to her after Halle objected to their presence on school grounds while picking up her daughter from pre-school.
Halle confesses that her maternal instinct revealed itself harshly at that moment.
"I hate that I lost my cool, but you know, I'm human," the actress told Extra. "That happens and when it comes to my daughter, I'm ferocious!"
Halle has petitioned family court to move to France with Nahla and her fianc Olivier Martinez months ago.
She believes that laws in the European country are more stringent about invasion of privacy and laments US legislation on the subject.
"You know, I don't know I've been struggling for years. There are no laws here that protect our children and as a mom, coming to the school not only my child, but all the children that are there. It's just wrong, wrong, wrong," she shared. "You know, I think I'm going [to] call [President Barack] Obama and say look, can you help us? I know this seems like a little issue right now. But it's a big issue in our lives and our lives at the school and our children being protected. I think it's really, really important."
It may take the judge up to a year to reach a verdict on Halle's request and her former beau Gabriel is reportedly intent on battling the move in court. (C) Cover Media
