'Heroine' comes in three glimpses

20th July 2012

In recent times we informed you how national award winning director Madhur Bhandarkar's most ambitious film 'Heroine' came under the censor board's hammer when they gave the film's first theatrical an 'A'  aka 'Adult' certification.

The Adult certification automatically limits its broadcast, as it neither can be telecasted on television nor can it be released with 'U/A' films.

Hence, in order to widen its reach, Madhur came up with an innovative idea to introduce the film to every age group.

While he kept the unadulterated promo reserved for the release with 'A' films, he made two more promos for different mediums.

He has made a subtle one (minus the objectionable love making and smoking scenes) for television, and another one, a more edgier one, for its release on the internet.

In this way, the theatrical of 'Heroine' will come in three different versions, one each for different mediums.
