Anurag Kashyap, the man and his films make controversies at the drop of a hat. Be his blunt statements on Bollywood or his films which try to make a point about the real world in a contemporary style, Anurag Kashyap has been the whistle-blower of our times. And guess what, the man is proud to be so, himself!
He who had once worked with Ram Gopal Varma in ‘Satya’ and didn’t hesitate to confess that he learnt a lot under him.
“I learnt everything to do with films while working with him on that movie and I still reflect what I learnt during the making of Satya, in my movies,” said Anurag.
However he no more sees RGV’s films as he feels that his comments might hurt him.
“I see the trailers of his movies and tell him what I feel about them. I fear that if I see his movies and don't like them, I might walk up to him and tell him things he may not want to hear. Personally, I still care for him,” added Anurag.
He says he has always been blunt in his talks, “I am a straight talker. I am not politically correct or diplomatic. People are scared of me, until they work with me. My actors love me. Films are like oxygen for me. I talk about my films as much as I do about movies made by my friends Imtiaz Ali, Zoya Akhtar or Dibakar Banerjee,” added Anurag.
