(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Idris Elba isn't sure he'll ever want to marry again.
The 38-year-old actor is best known for his portrayal of Russell Stringer' Bell in cult American television show The Wire and has also starred in blockbusters such as 28 Weeks Later and Thor.
In 1997, he married Liberian actress Dormowa Sherman, with whom he has a daughter, Isan, now nine. The couple divorced in 2001. His son Otega was born last year, but Idris has since split from the mother. While he is a proud father, the currently single star isn't convinced he'll ever want to give marriage another go.
"We are both proud parents. Would I marry again? I don't think so. The children and family stuff I did really young. I got married at 25 and it flip-flopped for me a little bit," he told British newspaper The Mirror. "I've done it, seen it, some things don't work for me. But I'd never say never, and I don't discourage people who are in love and want to do it."
Idris also discussed his expat life in Los Angeles. The London-born actor moved to the US ten years ago to boost his career and it's worked out well for him.
Having settled into his Los Angeles home nicely, Idris admits it was hard to come back and film his latest TV show Luther in the UK because of the weather.
But he insists he still considers himself a true Brit at heart.
"Luther was shot in the dark, in the cold, during the winter. I'd be standing there at 6am shivering and thinking, What am I doing here? I live in LA! I've got a hot tub in my garden,'" he said. "Home is where the heart is. My daughter's in America and I was 27 years old when I moved out there. In the past ten years I've matured as a man and America has been the backdrop for that. Having said that, I'm still a London boy and I'll always think of England as my home as well." (C) Cover Media
