The actress unfortunately breathed her last on 17th January morning as she succumbed to a heart attack.
Often referred to as the 'Queen of Bengali Cinema', the actress spent the last moments of her life in Kolkata's Belle Vue Clinic.
Post her demise, her body was taken to her Ballygunge Circular Road residence where she lived for the last 35 years. Later her body was taken to Keoratala Ghat where her cremation ceremony took place.
