Actors all over the film industry have been known to demand money for special appearances, interviews, their presence at college festivals and other such programs. But this trend had never caught up in the world of Kollywood. 

On one hand we have popular actor, Ajith Kumar, who played a cameo in 'English Vinglish' for free and on the other hand there are cases where actors are demanding huge sums of money for interviews. 

It is now in the news, that actress Iniya is demanding a lump sum of money for her interviews. 

The actress was approached by a leading television channel for an exclusive tic-tac. However, when the channel gave her a call for an appointment, she asked them, how much the channel would pay her for the interview.

When Iniya was told by the channel, that they don't pay anyone for interviews on theri shows, Iniya openly said, "Television channels make a lot of money by telecasting interviews with top celebrities. Thus, they should be paying the celebrities for their presence, on their channel".
