(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Jennifer Aniston found making 2006 movie The Break-Up helped her cope with splitting from Brad Pitt.

The 42-year-old Hollywood actress was married to Brad, 47, from 2000 to 2005. Brad soon began a relationship with Angelina Jolie and the couple now raise six children together.

Jennifer went on to enjoy a romance with her The Break-Up co-star Vince Vaughn, and has opened up about how therapeutic the 2006 picture about a couple splitting up was for her.

"It was just a beautiful story about a couple breaking-up. And I was slightly familiar on the topic and the issue," she explained for an upcoming episode of American show Inside the Actors Studio.

"And I sort of honestly felt like, what a great way to sort of exercise some of that."

The star insists making The Break-Up wasn't a painful experience. Although her colleagues were aware that the movie dealt with some sensitive issues for Jennifer, she was adamant to remain professional and put the past behind her.

"And I enjoyed it. I really enjoyed it. You would think otherwise, because even the producers were like, 'I don't know if we should ask you to do this,' but I was like, why not? Turn the page, let's move on," she smiled.

Jennifer is now dating actor Justin Theroux and their relationship appears to be going from strength to strength. The pair met on set of their upcoming film Wanderlust and were first seen together in public last month.

"Yes, I'm very happy. I'm extremely lucky, and I'm extremely happy," Jennifer beamed in a separate interview last month. (C) Cover Media
