(Cover) - EN Star Style - Jo Wood has revealed vintage clothes are her weakness.
The 56-year-old star says that she could never afford the brands she wanted growing up, but now treats herself to them. The TV personality who has previously designed clothes for fashion label No Scruples says that she can now afford to give in to her vintage craving.
Vintage clothes are my weakness, she told guardian.co.uk. I loved Biba and Ossie Clark when I was growing up, but I couldn't afford them. Now I buy them whenever I can.
The fashionista says that she appreciates the distinct fashion of the 60s and 70s. Jo says that British model Twiggy and French actress Bridget Bardot were her style inspirations as a teenager.
I never tire of 60s and 70s style. As a teenager I fell in love with Twiggy. I loved her and wanted to be like her so much. I also loved Bridget Bardot: dark eyes, big lips, backcombed hair, she explained.
Jo worked as a model until she was 22 and says that above everything else, confidence is the key to being stylish. The star whose marriage to The Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood ended in 2008 says every woman should have a little black dress and pair of heels in their wardrobes as a staple outfit.
Confidence in oneself is key to style. If you feel good, you can carry anything off. I'm comfortable with the way I look, but I'm always moaning about wanting to be slimmer. I exercise, but I enjoy my food, she admitted. Every woman should have a little black dress and a pair of skyscraper heels in her wardrobe. Put them on with a pair of black tights and you can go anywhere. (C) Cover Media
