(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Joan Rivers isnt sure shell start dating again because kissing a man in an oxygen mask takes the glamour out of it.

The 77-year-old comedian has been married twice. Her first union to James Sanger was annulled after six months, as Joan hadnt known James didnt want children before they tied the knot. She then wed Edgar Rosenberg in 1965, but he killed himself in 1987. Joan and Edgar had daughter Melissa together, and the star has spoken out about how hard she found her husbands death.

Joan and Melissa appear in reality show Joan and Melissa: Joan Knows Best, which details their relationship. On last nights episode Melissa tried to convince Joan to hit the dating scene, prompting her mother to freak out.

Its very easy to say, Oh, you gotta start dating. Have you ever tried to conga with a guy who has an IV stand, or kiss a guy with an oxygen mask? It takes a lot of the glamour away, she said.

Melissa raised the subject of her mothers romantic life gently, explaining she was worried Joan might be lonely. She tried to appeal to her sense of fun and excitement, but was swiftly shot down.

I think its really important for all of us that you get back out there and go to events. It's like what you always said to me when I was single: If you don't go out, you don't meet people, Melissa argued.

Joan replied: Yes, but Melissa, when you were single you were in your 20s and your early 30s. At this age, the only events I go to are funerals. (C) Cover Media
