14th May 2012

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Joel Madden was "so proud" of himself for not swearing on live TV, he called his mother to tell her the good news.

The Good Charlotte rocker is a judge and mentor on Australia's The Voice alongside Delta Goodrem, Keith Urban and Seal. After appearing on the first live broadcast of the popular TV show, Joel took to his Twitter page to congratulate himself on his self-restraint.

"I'm so proud of myself for not swearing on live tv tonight :) I even called my mom to tell her! (sic)" he exclaimed on the social networking site.

Joel was glad he had the support of his wife Nicole Richie. The 33-year-old musician says his fashion star spouse was thrilled to be part of the audience.

"And tho she was as quiet as a church mouse on twitter @nicolerichie was on set and loving every second of the show tonight #thevoiceau (sic)," he wrote.

Joel's acts did not compete on the live show - however, the star was quick to show his support for the other contestants.

"Awesome live show @TheVoiceAU," he wrote, before adding: "All I have to say after tonight is #teamjoel is coming for you @TheVoiceAU. Congrats to everyone who sang tonight on @TheVoiceAU next week #teamjoel Better bring it! (sic)." (C) Cover Media
