Justin Timberlake blames himself for movie injury

6th December 2010

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Justin Timberlake wishes his recent injury had been sustained due to a Kung fu fight rather than being his own fault.

The 29-year-old star hurt his leg while working on his new movie project entitled Now, a science-fiction thriller which is set for release late next year.

The film is going on a break from shooting to allow Justin time to get his left calf muscle back on track, and the hunk admits hes rather embarrassed that the injury didnt happen in more exciting circumstances.

"It'll be fine. It's not irreversibly damaged. ... I was just on set and I hurt it. I wish I had a way better story about how I got into this Bruce Lee, Kung Fu fight with someone and 'you should see the other guy,' but unfortunately I did it to myself, he told ET.

Justin discussed his injury during a joint interview with Dan Aykroyd, as the pair both appear in upcoming comedy Yogi Bear.

The film will tell the tale of a documentary filmmaker who travels to Jellystone Park to shoot a movie before encountering Yogi Bear, his sidekick Boo-Boo, and Ranger Smith. Dan has also been busy working on Ghostbusters III, which is set for release in 2012, and he is confident the highly-anticipated film will be fantastic.

We've got the material. It's in the bag. Now it's just a matter of doing what you do when you produce a movie, he enthused.

Great script, and [the writers] have written a part for Bill Murray that is a comic role of a lifetime." (C) Cover Media
