Katie Holmes: I won't fall victim to fashion

(Cover) - EN Star Style - Katie Holmes is worried about looking like a "fashion victim".

The Hollywood actress is famed for her elegant style and regularly graces the best dressed pages of magazines.

The 32-year-old, who boasts her own clothing brand Holmes & Yang, says she likes to try out new trends but doesn't want to be a slave to the latest fashions.

"I'm not afraid to try a new designer or do something trendy, but it has to look right on my body. You don't want to look like a fashion victim!" she explained in the August edition of InStyle.

Katie is aware of what suits her and what doesn't. The stunning star avoids fussy designs because they make her look too "old-ladyish".

"Certain colours don't work on me; yellow isn't my friend. I don't like big, pouffy sleeves. And some dresses, like if it has a big bow and skirt, are too old-ladyish on me. If I can wear it when I'm 80 I'm going to wait," she explained.

Katie hopes to age gracefully. The American star insists she won't resort to having collagen in her lips to boost her beauty if it came to cosmetic enhancements.

"I'll have to figure it out," she answered when asked what she'd do if she doesn't age so gracefully. "But I don't think I'm ever going to do my lips my sisters would kill me!"

Katie loves her long locks. The brunette beauty says that her lengthy tresses are easy to maintain and are easy to cover up when she's having a nightmare hair day.

"Long hair makes me feel most like myself. And it's much easier to deal with. If you have short hair and you're having a bad hair day, it's pretty obvious," she said. (C) Cover Media
