(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Kelly Osbourne isnt the sort of person who goes out with condoms in her bag.
The TV star is renowned for being outspoken, and is never afraid to speak her mind or open up about her private life. Yesterday was World AIDS Day, and the star discussed her own experiences with being tested for HIV to mark it.
She is regularly checked for the virus, and worries many people have become complacent about it. Kelly knows many young people think its something which will never affect them, so they dont take steps to prevent infection.
When people say things like, 'It's never going to happen to me or I'll never get it, they're less inclined to protect themselves the way that they should. It's so simple. All you have to do is wear a condom. It's not like anyone is asking you to do something really difficult and hard, she told E! News.
I have condoms. But I'm not the kind of person who will go out with them because if I meet someone, it's not like I'm just going to have sex with him the first time we meet.
Kelly is not ashamed to discuss being tested for HIV, explaining she first did so when she was 17. She had to in order to get a green card to live in America, but its something she would have done anyway.
The star explained modern tests are now so quick and simple theres really no excuse not to have one done. They have amazing ways to be tested now. They had this thing that they just swabbed the inside of our cheeks with and within ten minutes they told us, she said of her recent experience. (C) Cover Media
