(Cover) - EN Movies - Kevin Costner is to star in Quentin Tarantino's eagerly awaited western Django Unchained.

The star of 90s classics like Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves and The Bodyguard will play a sadistic slave trainer in the Quentin epic, which is already boasting an all-star cast. Samuel L. Jackson, Leonardo DiCaprio and Jamie Foxx are appearing in the movie, with the director's Inglourious Basterds star Christoph Waltz also joining the film.

Christoph will play a dentist-turned-bounty-hunter who turns to a slave for help in finding the man he is pursuing. After bonding with the slave, played by Jamie, he seeks to rescue the slave's wife from a vicious man, who will be played by the normally heroic actor Leonardo.

While Kevin has also signed on to star in the forthcoming reboot of Superman by playing Clark Kent's adopted Earth father, his box office glory has faded over recent years. And no doubt he will be hoping that his casting in a Tarantino film will boost his career much like it did for John Travolta in Pulp Fiction and Pam Grier in Jackie Brown. (C) Cover Media
