24th January 2012

Kevin Federline is "all good" following his heart scare.

Britney Spears' ex-husband suffered from chest pains and a racing pulse while taking part in a weight-loss challenge for Channel 9 show Excess Baggage.

He was treated for symptoms of a minor cardiac arrest after training with Australian football club Greater Western Sydney.

"[I'm] All good," he told reporters today. "[I'm] Ready to win."

According to reports, tests at the hospital showed that the former dancer did not have a heart attack.

The reality TV star was released last night and is resting with his family.

"Excess Baggage contestant Kevin Federline has been given the all-clear after spending the day in medical care,'' a spokesman for production company Fremantle Media said. "Kevin and producers became concerned with his extreme pulse rate and abnormal heart beat during a week six challenge of the program. The programme medic took the action of calling an ambulance so that a hospital could assess his wellbeing. After more tests, he was released late last night."

Having danced for Michael Jackson and Destiny's Child in the past, Kevin was super-svelte when he met Britney in 2004. However, the father of her two children has piled on the pounds since their split. He stated he wanted to "become fit, healthy and buff once more" when starting the weight-loss challenge on Channel 9 and weighed in at 231lbs. at the beginning of the series.

This is the second health scare Kevin suffered while competing on the show. The reality TV star was also hospitalised for heat stress after filming a segment in the Western Australian outback.
