(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Vera Wang says designing Kim Kardashian's wedding dress is a "glorious moment".

The maker of many celebrity gowns has been a friend of the reality star's family for a while so it was fitting that Vera be the one to create the much anticipated dress.

While Kim's wedding is being turned around at quite short notice, it is nothing compared to the nine days that Vera was given to have a dress ready for Kim's sister Khlo for her wedding to Lamar Odom in 2009.

Although it is not a great surprise that Vera was chosen after Kim was seen at her store in June, it has only now been officially announced.

"What a glorious moment!" Vera told E! News. "I am so thrilled to be dressing Kim for her wedding to Kris Humphries."

"Kim and I often spoke of creating a fantasy wedding gown," the designer shared. "I'm so excited! As a friend of the Kardashian/Jenner clan, I wish the engaged couple all the joy and happiness in the world!"

Meanwhile, Kris has expressed his excitement about their big day. The couple are set to marry on August 20 in a black tie event, reportedly in Montecito, California.

"I think you just get that feeling," the basketball player said of knowing he wanted to marry Kim. "It's an exciting time and I'm looking forward to everything."

"I'm just really excited to get married. I know I'm ready and I'm excited I found the one," he told Hollywood Life.

But the NBA star added that he was unsure if they would have their own spin off reality show saying they were just "focused on getting married" right now. (C) Cover Media
