(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Rihanna has partied up a storm in her native Barbados today to celebrate the Crop Over Festival.

The 23-year-old singer showed off her toned body in a barely-there red bikini costume and danced with fellow revellers throughout the day.

She climbed on top of a float for Kadooment Day and brought many of her stage antics to the streets of the Caribbean island.

Rihanna was seen blowing kisses to the crowd and did not let the wet weather dampen her spirits.

The Grand Kadooment is the official closing event for the Crop Over Festival season which is a historical celebration dating back to the 1780s when the end of the sugar season was marked with a huge party.

Barbados was, at the time, the largest producer of sugar in the world but Brazil now holds that title.

Rihanna was announced as the official ambassador for Barbados back in June and she will perform a concert as part of her Loud tour this Friday on the island.
