Kristen Stewart found the Twilight mother and baby scenes most uncomfortable to shoot because she's "just awkward with kids".

The actress stars as Bella Swan in the penultimate film in the hugely successful vampire film series - The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1.

The movie follows Bella and vampire Edward Cullen played by Robert Pattinson - as they get married and have a child together.

Kristen found acting like a mother the most difficult part of the film to shoot.

"I couldn't pick up the kid at times, I am just awkward with kids," she confessed.

"I couldn't handle it. Not sure if that's a good answer. You probably wanted to hear the love scene was awkward right?"

Kristen and Robert have enjoyed a romance off screen for a number of years. The stunning star says the pair are so close the sex scene could never have felt embarrassing.

"When you are so close to someone it comes almost natural," she told the UK edition of OK! magazine.

"You don't have to worry about stepping on somebody's toes because you know nothing can embarrass them or you."
