December 13, 2010 (Sampurn Wire):Veteran US television actor Larry Hagman will reportedly be joining the cast of popular American television drama series Desperate Housewives. According to reports in the media, Larry Hagman will start work on his next television project this month, so that the episodes featuring the very popular actor may be aired early next year. In a statement to the media, Larry Hagman said that he did not think much after the offer was made to him and gave his word immediately to start with work on Desperate Housewives.

The irony in the whole incident is that Larry Hagman is not even acquainted with Desperate Housewives! He was recently heard sharing with the media that he does not watch television at all and therefore is not aware of the TV soap. But Larry Hagman is also quick to remind us that an iPad is always there to get him in touch with Desperate Housewives!

Larry Hagmans most famous role on television was in the 1980s show Dallas where he was seen as oil tycoon J.R. Ewing. Dallas turned Larry Hagman into a household name. The actor was last seen on the television screen in the 2006 TV drama series Nip/Tuck. His comeback to the small screen next year will see him playing the partner of the character Stella Wingfield in Desperate Housewives.
