(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Lindsay Lohan will resume her community service obligations within the next two weeks.
The troubled 24-year-old actress has been under house arrest since May 26 after pleading no contest to stealing a $2,500 necklace from a Los Angeles jewellery store.
In her rented Venice home, Lindsay has been painting during her confinement to relieve stress. She has hosted a rooftop barbecue and engaged in other leisurely activities to pass time. The star has also been thinking about her career and has been considering several projects.
"[Lindsay has been] spending some much needed time by herself, reading, cooking and watching movies, as well as talking with her representatives about future projects," her publicist Steve Honig told RadarOnline.
Lindsay is expected to be released from house arrest in 10 to 15 days. After her release she will immediately recommence her charity work at a women's shelter in Downtown Los Angeles.
"Lindsay is eager to resume her community service obligations, and will be returning to the Downtown Women's Center as soon as possible," Honig added.
As part of her sentence, Lindsay must spend 360 hours helping out at the shelter.
Lindsay will also return to work upon her house arrest release.
She will begin filming her role in the John Gotti biopic Gotti: In the Shadow of My Father alongside John Travolta, Al Pacino and Joe Pesci either later on this year or at the beginning of 2012. (C) Cover Media
