(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Lindsay Lohan is "fine" and has been released from hospital.

The Hollywood actress was driving her black Porsche down Pacific Coast Highway when her vehicle smashed into the back of a huge tractor-trailer truck Friday.

Lindsay was taken to the emergency room immediately following the accident.

The star is luckily in good health and is heading back to work on film Liz & Dick.

"Lindsay was involved in an automobile accident today on her way to the set. She was taken to Santa Monica UCLA hospital as a precaution," Lindsay's representatives told Extra in a statement. "She is fine and was released less than two hours later and is already headed back to the set to resume work. Fortunately, no one was seriously injured in the accident."

The vehicle is an absolute wreck, as the passenger side window was shattered and the rear bumper completely knocked off the automobile.

The 25-year-old actress is currently shooting Liz & Dick, which is about Dame Elizabeth Taylor's relationship with her two-time husband Richard Burton. (C) Cover Media
