(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Mena Suvari's estranged husband has asked for over $17,000 in monthly spousal support, it has been reported.

Simone Sestito is said to have pleaded for the sum of $17,151 a month to cover his living expenses as part of his divorce from the actress.

The American Pie: The Reunion star's estranged spouse claims he got accustomed to a lavish lifestyle over the time he was married to Mena.

According to TMZ, Sestito claims he got used to dining "almost every day at high-end restaurants" and estimates his monthly eating out bills at around $3,000.

However, the blonde beauty's soon-to-be ex-husband cannot support himself as he claims he is not financially stable.

"According to court docs filed earlier this week, Simone Sestito claims he has negative balances' on all his personal and business accounts and has been forced to pay his bills with credit cards and loans from his parents," TMZ reports.

The record producer claims that Mena earns an estimated $750,000 a year from advertising deals and acting work.

The estranged couple separated in November 2011 after only 16 months of marriage. The have cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split. (C) Cover Media
