(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Nicolas Cage is not facing charges related to his arrest last month.

The Oscar-winning star was arrested for alleged domestic abuse and disturbing the peace after a reported drunken argument with his spouse Alice Kim in New Orleans.

The 47-year-olds lawyer, Harry Rosenberg, has announced the star will not face charges following the incident.

"The New Orleans District Attorney has confirmed that no charges of any kind will be pursued against him. After their investigation, the DAs [District Attorneys] refused all charges against Nick and the matter has been closed, he told People.

"We are pleased that the process led to the correct result, despite inaccurate media reports, and that Nick has been cleared and all charges have been dropped."

Nicolas was released from custody last month after reality television star Dog The Bounty Hunter Chapman paid $11,000 bail. (C) Cover Media
