Pauly D and Britney Spears exchange multiple "tweets" with each other.

The Jersey Shore star joined Britney on her Femme Fatale tour earlier this year.

Britney famously gave Pauly a lap dance onstage during one of her concerts.

The pair remain on friendly terms.

"Yeah [we keep in contact], oh yeah, for sure. A lot of tweets," Pauly told MTV News.

Pauly really enjoyed working with Britney. He is hoping that the pair will reunite in Puerto Rico for a performance this Saturday.

"There's rumours; rumours have it that I might be on that tour," Pauly said.

"I'm not sure. I'd love to. I hope so. I like Puerto Rico and it's nice this time of year."

Pauly has been contracted to appear in a reality show featuring his life. It would be a great joy if Britney were to make an appearance on the programme.

"She's busy. She's really busy and I'd love to link up with her and get her on this [show] 'cause doing her tour, that was another dream for me, to do an artist's tour," Pauly explained. "I've been a fan of Britney my whole life, so it's been great for me."

Britney is very supportive of Pauly's professional endeavours. She was excited to her about his upcoming show.

"She was happy for me," he gushed.

"She was like, 'Oh you're going to be fist pumping on the show.' She gets a kick out of the fist pumping."

Pauly has recently signed a three-album deal with rapper 50 Cent's G-Unit Records.

Britney's Femme Fatale tour ends in San Juan, Puerto Rico this weekend.
