On working with Myra director Vinod Kapri said, "We gave her time to acquaint herself with space as well as the crew. We would shoot for two hours a day. There were three cameras placed on the set because you can't ask a two-year-old to give another take. The toys that you see in the film all belong to Myra."
Pihu is bankrolled by Ronnie Screwvala, Siddharth Roy Kapur & Shilpa Jindal and directed by Vinod Kapri who earlier won a National Award for his documentary Can’t Take This Shit Anymore. He has also directed Miss Tanakpur Haazir Ho which received rave reviews. The film is slated to release on November 16.
