(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Pink has confirmed she is pregnant with her first child.

The American singer sparked rumours she was expecting a baby with her husband, motocross star Carey Hart, after she was recently spotted with a seemingly rounded stomach. Pink has now revealed she is going to be a mother and is enjoying the early stages of pregnancy.

The 31-year-old star joked she is looking so healthy because her appetite has increased and she is indulging her cravings.

Im glowing because I'm eating for two these days," she laughed during an interview on Ellen DeGeneres talk show.

Pink revealed she and Carey had planned to start a family and it had taken some time for her to get pregnant. I worked for it It was not an Oops, she insisted.

The star is believed to be around 12 weeks along and her doctor hinted she may be expecting a girl when she went for an ultrasound. Pink and Carey havent decided if they will find out the gender of the baby, but the singers mother is hoping for a granddaughter.

"The doctor kind of told me what she thinks. I'm terrified because she thinks it's a girl!" She joked. "My mom has always wished me a daughter just like me. I'm terrified one of us will go to jail."

Pink went on to explain her reasons behind keeping the pregnancy a secret. The star revealed she previously had a miscarriage, so she wanted to wait a while before she confirmed her happy news.

"I was just really nervous. I have had a miscarriage before, but if I was going to talk about it with anyone, it was going to be with you," she told Ellen. (C) Cover Media
