Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar starrer '2.0' created much hype on the internet when it was announced. The posters which showed Akki's look were trending soon after its release. In the recent past it was reported that the makers have adopted a unique promotional idea to promote the film worldwide. A huge hot air balloon with Rajinikanth's face on it along with the film's name will fly across various countries across the globe. The starting point of the balloon is Los Angeles and it flew high across the Hollywood signage on the Mullholand drive.

The entire video right from the scratch to its flying journey across the Hollywood signage is recorded and it is going viral on the internet. Akshay Kumar shared it on his twitter handle and captioned it as, "World, get ready for 2.0 18!!! @2Point0movie."

A leading daily quoted Raju Lingham, head of Lyca Productions, saying as, "We plan to take the 100-foot tall hot-air balloon to as many balloon festivals as possible across the world. Since we see our film as a Hollywood production, we plan to tie up the balloon over the Hollywood signage in Los Angeles."

The balloon will fly across Dubai, San Franscisco, Southeast Asian countries, Europe and Australia and finally will finish its journey in India.
