(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Reese Witherspoon is not pressing charges against the driver who hit her.
The 35-year-old actress was rushed to hospital on Wednesday morning after being struck by the vehicle while out jogging in Los Angeles. Reese collided with the car which was travelling at 20mph.
Reese is not planning to press charges against the 84-year-old unnamed woman who failed to yield to her at the crosswalk.
"Reese was not seriously injured and is resting comfortably at home," a representative for the star told US magazine.
"The incident is being treated as an accident. The driver was not given an alcohol test at the accident scene and typically she would receive a fine and a point on her driving license as it is considered a moving violation."
Fortunately, Reese walked away from the collision with minor injuries, sustaining only a cut on her forehead.
The Oscar-winning actress' wounds are not expected to affect her upcoming film projects, which include This Means War and Mud. (C) Cover Media
