Robert Pattionson recording an album'

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Robert Pattinson is reportedly recording an album.

The 25-year-old Twilight actor is said to consider music as his "first love" and is working on the record before he has to get back to promoting latest movie Breaking Dawn.

He has not had much time to work on his songs because of his busy schedule but he is now focusing on adding music star to his resume.

"Rob has been kicking a few original songs around for a long time, but his schedule didn't allow it," an insider told Us Weekly.

The British actor has apparently recorded two songs; Never Think, which he co-wrote with his friend Sam Bradley and Let Me Sign for the original Twilight soundtrack.

But Robert is going for more of an indie sound rather than appealing to a wider pop audience.

"The album Rob will make will be guitar-based and drums, very organic-sounding, nothing pop," a second source added. "Like stripped-down Ray LaMontagne meets Van Morrison."

"Music is his first love. He's tortured because he avoids it. When he's sitting around jamming in the studio, it's his favourite moment of life."

Robert apparently even has jamming sessions in his hotel room while filming the hit movies in Vancouver and other locations.

His Twilight co-star Jackson Rathbone says that the deep and brooding actor "loves to play the blues".

"He can hold his own on a guitar. We enjoyed jamming together when we had time. Very humble and quiet guy." (C) Cover Media
