Ryan Gosling has reportedly told friends he is ready to "settle down" with Eva Mendes.

The two stars began dating earlier this year and spent the recent Thanksgiving holiday in Paris together. They were seen cosying up as they explored the famously romantic city and Ryan apparently feels totally at ease with his new love.

The actor has already started confiding in friends that he believes they will be together forever.

"Ryan is telling everyone that he's very serious about Eva," a source told In Touch magazine. "He is head-over-heels and plans to settle down with her."

Those close to Ryan have apparently told him to enjoy the moment more. His pals are said to be thrilled he is so happy, but think he could benefit from just dating Eva before setting up home with her.

"Ryan doesn't take dating lightly. He falls in love very deeply," an insider added.

Ryan and Eva are thought to have grown close while shooting the movie The Place Beyond the Pines together earlier this year.

Their romance comes after she split from George Augusto, who she had been with for around nine years.

Eva is said to be thrilled with her flourishing relationship with Ryan but doesn't want to rush into anything too heavy.

"Eva really likes Ryan, but she may not be as serious about him as he is about her," one source warned.
