Sage Stallone's doctors sought

17th July 2012

Sage Stallone's doctors will be questioned by the Los Angeles Police Department Robbery & Homicide division.

The 36-year-old son of actor Sylvester Stallone was found dead in his home on Friday with prescription bottles retrieved from his bedroom. However, his death is not thought to be a suicide.

The detectives want to speak to several doctors that had prescribed medication to the actor-director.

"Detectives from the LAPD are in the process of going through evidence recovered from Sage's house and will be contacting the doctors that prescribed the medication found there," a law enforcement source told the site.

"There was more than one doctor that Sage was seeing in the days leading up to his death. Cops want to establish a timeline of events leading up to Sage's death and they want to know what his medical history was."

A friend of the deceased said that he "never knew" Sage to do drugs.

"I saw him two weeks ago and he seemed great," the pal added. "He was healthy and upbeat and didn't seem depressed at all."
