The film didn't do well at box-office and film's lead star Abhay deol, who was completely ignored and as his talent wasted in film, he blamed the makers that excessive importance to Sonam and her looks led to the failure of the film. But at that point of time Sonam and her superstar dad didn't feel the pinch of it, until they too had to go through the exact same situation. Sonam Kapoor is the leading actor along with Shahid Kapoor in his father Pankaj Kapoor's directorial debut 'Mausam'. It is believed that Sonam is quite miffed with Shahid being given all the importance in the film. To this Papa Kapoor Anil has come to her daughter dearest's rescue and have decided to have a word with Shahid's dad and film's director Pankaj Kapoor to sort the matter out and get the deal for Sonam. But on the other-side Shahid has denied any kind of interruption in the smooth schedule of the film. Shahid claims that the film is well on track and there's no hard feeling amongst anyone of the crew and cast. Well Sonam, this is what is said to be tit for tat, now when your dad invested heavily on you in film 'AISHA' , similarly Shahid's dad banks upon his son's talent and wants him to shine in his directorial venture.
