Shahid not responsible for Imran's ouster from 'Milan Talkies'

Grapevine has been abuzz that Shahid Kapoor has replaced Imran Khan in Ekta Kapoor's 'Milan Talkies'. 
 
Now, Shahid was Ekta's first choice to play the gangster's role that Imran played in 'Once Upon A Time in Mumbai Dobaara', but since Kareena Kapoor Khan was then leading the race to play the main lead, Shahid opted out of it and Imran was brought in. Later, even Bebo didn't do the film and Sonakshi Sinha played the part. 
 
Another reason why Shahid didn't do the film was because he was still upset with the film's lead Akshay Kumar for chopping off his role in their 2005 release 'Deewane Huye Paagal'.
 
Reports suggest that Shahid went back to Ekta to be a part of her next and then the TV queen decided to drop Imran from 'Milan Talkies', following her spat with the actor after the debacle of OUATIMD. 
 
Shahid, however, dismisses these reports and says that he is yet to sign the film. He has just heard the script and is in no way the reason for Imran not being a part of the film. He quips by saying that he is not the one who takes casting decisions for Ekta.
