October 14, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Director Shankar is feeling over the moon presently with his magnum opus Endhiran, drawing crowds in all the versions. The trade analysts have predicted that there will be house-packed shows for the next three weeks. The filmmaker was recently in Mumbai for the promotion of the Hindi version, Robot and screened the film for the Bollywood celebrities.

He happened to shake hands with the team of 3 Idiots (producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra, director Rajkumar Hirani and Aamir Khan) as they walked on the red carpet premiere of Robot. Shankar was reported of getting some tips from the team, as it happens to the first remake project in Shankars directorial venture.

Earlier Shankar had approached Madhavan and Silambarasan to perform the lead roles alongside Vijay. But as they turned down the offer, Shankar has finally confirmed Jeeva and Siddarth for the roles. Shankars closer sources report that Jeeva will be enact Madhavans role while Sharman Joshis character will be performed by Siddarth.

Harris Jayaraj will score music to the lyrics of Vairamuthu and Manoj Paramahamsa has been signed to handle the cinematography.

Shankar has plans of completing the films shooting within a span of 6 months as producers want the film to be released in the summer vacations of 2011.

All that Shankar has got to do is find Miss Idiot.
